George T. Yurovchak, Jr, 75, of Nashua, NH, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his home following a lengthy illness.
Born in Hazleton, PA, on July 9, 1944, he was the son of the late George S. and Helen (Evacik) Yurovchak. After graduating from Hazleton Senior High School in 1962, he served his country in the US Air Force for twelve years, including time during the Vietnam Conflict. He met his wife, Yupin, in Bangkok, Thailand while on one of his multiple tours around the world. After his honorable discharge, he settled in Nashua, NH and has been a resident ever since.
After studying at Pennsylvania State University, George worked in the computer industry and was employed by Sperry Univac Corporation and UNISYS Corporation. He was active in the Boy Scouts, loved NASCAR racing, and devoted most of his life in advocating for his disabled daughter.
Besides his wife of 49 years, George is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Yurovchak, Nashua; his son Thomas Yurovchak and his spouse, Michelle Yurovchak, Nashua; two grandchildren, Andrew and Michael.
