Gloria Nadeau Obituary

It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Gloria M. Nadeau, who left us peacefully on June 29, 2025, at the age of 76.

One of the most beautiful stories of her life began in the most unexpected place—a small Chinese restaurant, where fate led her to the love of her life, Renald. Though they didn’t speak the same language, they found something even more powerful: connection, understanding, and a love that would span decades.

A woman of many passions, Gloria found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. Her hands were rarely still—she was a talented knitter and a skilled crocheter, creating beautiful, handmade Afghans and Canadian slippers that warmed both the body and the soul.  One of her favorite weekly activities was playing cards with her sister, Aline. They always enjoyed some laughs, a little friendly competition, and the special bond they shared as sisters.

What brought her the greatest joy, though, were her grandchildren. She cherished every moment with them—reading stories, sharing snacks, teaching them how to knit, and celebrating their milestones with a proud, glowing smile. To them, she was more than a grandmother—she was a safe place, a cheerleader, and a quiet hero.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Renald; her son, Daniel Nadeau, and his wife, Kelly; her daughter, Kathy Speidel, and her husband, Mel; her sister, Aline; her special niece, Donna; and her treasured grandchildren: Kenny, Ashley, Dylan and his girlfriend, Maia, Kevin, Drew, and Jill. We take comfort in knowing that a beautiful reunion has taken place in heaven, where she is once again with her beloved daughter Suzanne, who passed away at the age of 3 due to illness.

We will carry her memory in our hearts always. Her legacy lives on in the stories we tell, the traditions we carry forward, and the love we continue to share.

A private memorial service will be held for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, we kindly invite you to honor Gloria’s memory by sharing a story, a cherished memory, or a moment that reminds you of her—keeping her spirit alive in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
