Helen B. Fraser

Helen Bernadette (Smith) Fraser, 88, died peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Carlyle Place in Bedford, New Hampshire surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Fraser with whom she shared 49 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2005.

Helen was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on October 23, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Harry and Cecile (Beaureguard) Smith. She attended schools in the Nashua School System.

In her free time, she operated her small business of sewing as well as cake decorating. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. For 17 years, Helen and her family spent their summers in York Beach, Maine. She was a devout parishioner at Infant Jesus Church and was also a member of the bereavement committee. Above all her most cherished time was spent with her loving family. She will be deeply missed.

Helen is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Cloutier of Londonderry and Denise Gagne and her husband Donald II of Litchfield and her son Mark Fraser of Raleigh, North Carolina. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Donegan and her husband Darren, Steven Cloutier and his wife Barbara, Angela Vaillancourt and her husband Nicholas, Nicholas Gagne, Matthew Gagne, Patrick Fraser, Kacie Fraser and Kelley Fraser. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren, Shea, Kali, John, Matthew, Corey, Luke and Kyle; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Robert, she was predeceased by her daughter Linda Ann Fraser; her son-in-law Roger Cloutier; as well as her six brothers and five sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to Helen’s visitation on MONDAY, April 10th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on TUESDAY, April 11th at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
