Irene "Rena" Telage

Irene “Rena” Telage, 89, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack on Friday morning, September 23, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Edmund J.Telage, DDS with whom she shared 55 years of marriage prior to his passing on October 22, 2014.

Rena was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on January 10, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Athanasious and Kalino (Tzoumkas) Tzemos. She received her education in the Manchester School System, finishing 12th in her class at Central High School.

For many years, Rena proudly worked alongside her husband as the business manager of Edmund J. Telage, DDS located in Nashua, NH.

Throughout her life, her single greatest joy and her highest priority was her family for whom she fought for relentlessly, supported unendingly, and loved eternally. Her family was her everything. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and was a member of book clubs. She also loved animals especially her grand-pets. From time to time, she would welcome a well made Cosmo, which she would share with the table, or a sticky bun from the Nashua County Club, which were her favorite special treats. Rena will be deeply missed for her loving soul yet tenacious, protective, and fiery personality. She will be remembered as a loyal wife, mother and dear friend to many.

She is survived by her two sons, Byron E. Telage and his wife Georgia of Nashua and Aaron E. Telage and his wife Paula of Nashua; her two nephews, Arthur Pavlidis and his wife Anita of Nashua and Dr. Philip Pavlidis and his wife Francie of Richmond, VA. 

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Julia Pavlidis and her husband Vissaltos.

Rena’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, “Angels”, at the Community Hospice House for not only their care and compassion of Rena but also her family during her stay there.

Relatives and friends are invited to Rena’s visitation on THURSDAY, September 29th from 10 until 11 AM at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM in the church and her interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rena’s name to the Community Hospice House, Attn: Development, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054 or to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064.
