Jacklyn "Jackie" (Bemis) Moran

Jacklyn “Jackie” (Bemis) Moran passed away peacefully at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire with her family at her bedside. She was 91 and would have celebrated her 92nd birthday on August 21st.

She was the daughter of the late Bill and Irene Bemis and is survived by her sister, Billie Manchester of Keene and predeceased by her sister Ann Blake and her brother Brad Bemis. She had been previously married four times, James Greene, Robert Peters, Robert Sims, and John Moran.

Jackie or “Ma” as she was affectionately known is survived by her three children, Debra Greene of Marlborough, NH, Lee Greene and his wife Polly of Dracut, MA and Michael Greene of Hampstead, NH and was predeceased by her daughter, Doreen Strusa and her son John Greene.

She was also the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In her younger years, she worked in the woolen mills of New England but her favorite job prior to retirement was laundry supervisor at The Greenbriar Terrace Nursing Home.

Jackie was a huge and avid NASCAR fan for 78 years and traveled to many speedways throughout the country. Her ultimate passions were the speedways located in New England. She was also an avid supporter of her son, Michael, and his racing career, never once missing a race. Jackie also enjoyed supporting her local Boston sports teams, including the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins and loved Ted Williams, Carl Yastemski, Big Papi and Bobby Orr.

Above all, her most cherished memories were spending time with her grandchildren, watching them grow, and enjoying all family functions. She was very fond of all of her friends she made throughout her life and her racing family, as she called them. She will be sorely missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jackie’s visitation on SATURDAY, August 9th from 10 AM until 12 Noon at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackie’s name to the Nashua Humane Society, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH.
