James ‘Bob’ Dennehy, of Nashua, NH and formerly Pawley’s Island, South Carolina and Littleton, Massachusetts, passed away on July 19, 2022.
He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on September 3, 1942, and was the son of the late Joseph and Rita (McLaughlin) Dennehy. Bob is predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Joseph Dennehy and sister Betty (Dennehy) Tracy.
Bob leaves his legacy through the many family members and friends he impacted throughout his life. Bob was the life of the party. He loved going out with friends for music, dancing and sharing a laugh. He was a generous man who loved nature, animals and being a part of his community. He enjoyed travel. He was an accomplished gardener in the summer and enjoyed watching football games in the winter. Bob had a soft place in his heart for children and was a years-long supporter of the St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Bob was the loving father to his three daughters he shared with Margaret Dennehy: Jeanne Borawski and her husband Michael; Heather Dennehy; and Mary Carney and her husband David. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Raymond, Amelia, Julian and Sarai. He is lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Alice Dennehy as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob is survived by his former wife Karen (Frush) Dennehy and the many wonderful friends he made in South Carolina, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Bob’s memory will live on in the hearts of his daughters and in all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bob’s visitation on WEDNESDAY, July 27th from 10 until 11:30 AM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Service will follow in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. A private burial will take place at a later date.
