James P. “JP” Greenwood, 62, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
James was born in Exeter, New Hampshire on October 6, 1963, and was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Toland) Greenwood. He received his education in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School.
He worked as a chef his entire career at various restaurants in New Hampshire and Arizona, including many years at Rolands Restaurant in Nashua.
James had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and adored his three cherished feline companions. A devoted football fan, he faithfully rooted for his favorite team, finding joy in every season. He was passionate about reading, particularly the history of our country and the stories behind sports history, which he could talk about for hours. James spent a meaningful period of his life in Arizona, where he loved the time, he lived there and formed many lasting friendships. He often took leisurely drives back to visit, savoring the scenery along the way. Above all else, James’s greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
He is survived by his three children, Ryan Greenwood, Sarah Leach, and Michael Greenwood; his two granddaughters, Emelia and Grace and his sister, Karen Greenwood.
Sadly, in addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son-in-law, Nathan Leach and his brother, John Greenwood.
At this time, no services have been scheduled.
