JAMES R. FRASER, 56, of Nashua, died suddenly on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Born in Nashua on August 20, 1966, the son of the late Norman J. and Rosemarie (Soucy) Fraser of Nashua. Jim was a graduate of Nashua High School, class of 1984. He was the owner / operator of Fraser’s Precision Machining, LLC.
Being “the baby” of the family, he grew up fearless because his older siblings would protect him as he loved playing practical jokes. Everyone has a funny Jimmy story.
Jim was an exceptional machinist, but that wasn’t his only talent. As a musician, he could play the guitar, keyboard, and his favorite, the drums. He also had a green thumb, with his indoor plants as well as his pride and joy – his vegetable garden. He was an incredible cook. Known for his made from scratch spaghetti sauce, awesome chili, enticing meat pies, and his over-the-top holiday feasts for his friends.
He loved the outdoors. He grew up climbing trees, exploring the woods, bringing home stray animals, skiing, swimming, camping, and fishing. Being an avid fisherman, he knew every opening day for what kind of fishing there is and he was there. Oceans, lakes, ponds, rivers, ice – didn’t matter – and he knew how to cook what he caught to perfection.
Jim also liked to tinker, so if you needed a part made for your boat, or something fixed, or a wooden cradle made, or a refurbished piece of furniture, he could do it. He took pride in all he did.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family and fondly remembered by all his friends. He is survived by his mother, Rosemarie (Soucy) Fraser and his son, Jesse Dion of Nashua; his siblings and their spouses, Diane and Michael Malburne, Vickie and Paul Fraser, Gail and Ronald Fraser, Cheryl and Gerald Fraser; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and his Aunt Marg and Uncle Raymond Fraser.
Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
