Janet Anne Fischer

NASHUA- Janet Anne Fischer, 78, died peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Janet was born in Queens, New York, on July 29, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Kurt and Lenore (Morrone) Schnelle.

For over 20 years, Janet was employed with The Home Depot in a variety of roles; most recently as an Appliance Specialist at the Merrimack, NH store.

In her free time, Janet was an avid reader who enjoyed a true crime genre.  She loved to travel anywhere there was a hot sun, palm trees and a pool.  Janet savored the experience of fine dining with her family.  Most of all, she loved spending time with each of her 3 grandchildren.  Janet aka “Mimi” was their biggest cheerleader and made each of them feel like they were her favorite.

Janet is survived by her two children, Lisa Chiras and her husband Scott of Bedford and Karen Fischer of Nashua; her three grandchildren, Christopher Fischer, Shannon Chiras and Justin Chiras. She is also survived by her sister Judith Beyer and her husband Kenneth of Calverton, NY; as well as many nieces and nephews.

At the request of Janet’s family, visiting hours will be private.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 5th at 10am at St. Joseph the Worker Parish at 777 W. Hollis Street  Nashua, NH.  Wearing of masks and social distancing are mandatory.  Church capacity limits will apply. There will be an opportunity to greet Janet’s family following the Mass, as the burial will be private.
