On Monday, November 25, 2024, Jason Edward Tatro, 42 of Nashua, passed away peacefully in his favorite place -his home. Jason’s passing follows a valiant 4-year battle with an extremely rare cancer. The scientific data that Jason provided as part of several medical trials in support of new cancer treatments lives on as a part of his proud legacy. Jason was born in North Adams, MA on November 16, 1982, and moved to New Hampshire in 2010. Jason was the beloved husband of Melissa Kennedy with whom he shared 20 years of happiness, adventures and sarcastic quips.
Jason received his Bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and went on to obtain his master’s degree in business administration at Ashford University. For 15 years he worked in various roles within the federal Government, most recently as a procurement analyst. He was grateful for the constant support of his coworkers, their friendship and dedication to ensuring his well-being through the years was deeply appreciated.
In his free time, Jason was a passionate collector of all things related to video games and Lego. He was always the first one in line at midnight for a video game release. He frequently could be found building his own computers or playing a round of golf. Above all, Jason enjoyed spending time with the close-knit group of people and paws with whom he shared his life. His three dogs lovingly known as the “punctuation pack” were a constant source of joy in his daily life.
Jason is survived by his wife Melissa and his rescue dogs Asterisk (Risky), Interrobang (Bang), and Hyphen (Finn). Additionally, Jason is survived by his in laws Ashley and Matthew Dimauro, his mother-in-law Linda Kennedy, and his mother Barbara and siblings Brian and Trisha Tatro. Jason was predeceased by his father George Tatro and his father-in-law Michael Rosso.
In accordance with Jason’s wishes, services will be private. A celebration of life will be held on: December 17, 2024 from 5-7 PM at The Establishment located at 75 Princeton Street, North Chelmsford MA
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Jason’s name be made to the Extra Life foundation. Jason raised funds annually for this charity for over a decade.
