Jean Paul Dessureault

Jean Paul Dessureault, 87, died peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St Joseph Hospital with his family surrounding him. He is the beloved husband of Huguette (Duchesne) Dessureault with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

Jean Paul was born in Shawinigan Falls, Canada on September 15, 1938, and he was the son of the late Hermas and Marie Rose (Martin) Dessureault .

For 25 years he was employed as a painter for Ingersoll Rand until his retirement.

In his free time, he enjoyed reading, playing on the computer and he loved to eat his Canadian food – Poutine. He also enjoyed playing trumpet for the Union Musicale Filion in Canada, as well as, watching and having conversations with Nic about the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadians.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Joanne, Denis and Lisa. His son-in-law Barry and Carol his daughter-in-law. All his grandchildren Ashley, Daniel, Corrie Denny, Ellie, Howie and his great grandchildren. Also, his two sisters Nicole and Lise Dessureault.

At the request of Jean Paul's family, services will be held privately.
