Jeanne Nadeau Obituary

NASHUA –Jeanne C. (Maynard) Nadeau, 94, passed away peacefully at her home at Nashua Crossings on September 15, 2020.  Jeanne was the oldest of five children born in Nashua, the daughter of Ovila and Yvonne (Marquis) Maynard. She joined her predeceased husband Edwin L Nadeau and brothers Ovila Jr. and Robert Maynard.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Yolande Brodeur and her husband William of Nashua; her son, Ronald Nadeau and his wife Sandra (Pelletier) of Storrs Ct.; and daughter Claire Grainger and her husband Edward of Nashua. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Thomas Brodeur, Melissa Laflotte, Nicole Miller, Christina Mohr, Audrey Hoover and Todd Grainger; eleven great grandchildren Joshua, Samantha, Zachary, Jay, Adam, Madeleine, Mikayla, Alexis, Troy, Levi, and Owen; and brothers Conrad Maynard of Nashua and Paul Maynard of Epsom, NH. Jeanne was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She dedicated herself to caring for her ill husband for many years before his death. Jeanne was hard working and a good hearted loving person who only had positive things to say. She truly enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and lit up with joy whenever she saw them. They brought her much joy, love, and laughter. Jeanne was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague church in Nashua.

Jeanne previously worked at Sportwelt Shoe Co most of her working career, Hitchiner Manufacturing and later retired from Teledyne. Jeanne enjoyed the simple things in life and she and her husband looked forward to spending weekends and summer vacations at their trailer on the shores of Jenness Pond. After retirement they moved to Moultonborough for 15 years and enjoyed relaxing at Lake Winnepesaukee before moving back to Nashua to be near family. Over time Jeanne, who could not swim, began to enjoy boat rides on the lake trusting Edwin at the helm. She will be sorely missed by her family who loved her dearly.

The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Nashua Crossing and to Amedisys Hospice Care of Bedford, NH for their dedication, compassion and care given to Jeanne.
