Jeanne Phaneuf Obituary

NASHUA- Jeanne L. Phaneuf, 81, died peacefully Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack. She was the beloved wife for over 60 years of her late husband Maurice W. Phaneuf.

Jeanne was born in Nashua on May 6, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Luc and Marie Anne (Levesque) Briand.

Jeanne was the matriarch of her family. She was a force to be reckoned with, and a devoted caregiver many times over. She cherished time with family above all else. As a lifelong resident of Nashua, she was a regular volunteer at the local schools and for various community organizations, as well as the polls during voting time.

Jeanne is survived by her son Colonel (Retired) Alan Phaneuf and his wife Carole (Nadeau) Phaneuf of Pennsylvania. She is predeceased by her youngest son, Daniel Phaneuf and a daughter-in-law Kim Phaneuf. Jeanne is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren: Amy Phaneuf and 2 children (Anyssa and Alana); Danielle Humphrey, her husband Aaron and 5 children (Lydia, Levi, Anne Charlotte, Juliet, and Luke); Cassandra Andress, her husband Joseph and 2 children (August and Etienne); Maj. Alana Benischek, her husband Maj.
