Jeannine Simplice passed away on October 30th, 2023 in Nashua, New Hampshire. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Jeannine was born on August 17th, 1930, in Côtes-de-Fer, Haiti, She was the daughter of Father’s Imprime Simplice and Mother’s Iranie Joseph. Growing up in Haiti she assumed her role as a caretaker for her siblings at a very young age. Jeannine taught herself to sew beautiful garments and cooked lavish meals, and had a great creative and artistic mind,
Jeannine was self-taught in many areas of her life which would later contribute to her opening her own convenience store selling everyday goods. She also had a passion to help others and had an open-door policy for family and friends alike.
Jeannine would spend time with her grandchildren by sharing stories, cooking, sewing doll clothes; and watching their favorite TV shows “WWE wrestling”. Jeannine was also a devote Catholic, attending weekly mass and she always provided support and encouragement through prayer. In addition to all of that, even while in the United States, Jeannine continued to support her family in Haiti,
Jeannine‘s generosity and hospitality was unmatched, her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

She was the loving mother of Carly, Sophia, Late Brandine and Eveld Manuel. She was the cherished grandmother of Alain, Brandine, Theresa, Dorothy, Christie, Ted, Kurt, Francesca, Elisha, Christopher, Eveld Jaden, Dala, Zoe. She was also loved by her great grandchildren: Darnell, Trenton, Vanessa, Brianna, and Averie.
God has called her home. She fought a good fight and win the battle, because I know that she’s on her way to heaven. She is no longer with us today but her words, wisdom, kindness and sense of humor will stay with us forever and ever more. May her soul rest in peace. We surely miss you Manman, Granma, Aunty.... You will be remembered by family and Friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on SUNDAY, November 12th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on MONDAY, November 13th at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E Dunstable Road, Nashua. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
