JoAnn Marotte Obituary

JoAnn Marotte, 70, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Born on February 16, 1955, in Lowell, Massachusetts, JoAnn was the daughter of the late Richard and Anne (Mahoney) Trudel. She grew up in Lowell, and graduated from Lowell High School, where she began a lifelong journey of hard work, resilience, and unwavering love for her family.

JoAnn dedicated over 30 years of her life to Lantheus Medical Imaging, where she worked with pride and care until her well-earned retirement. Her strength, work ethic, and quiet determination left a lasting impression on those around her.

In her free time, JoAnn found joy in simple pleasures. She loved the fun of slot machines, scratch tickets, and games of Keno—but it was the time spent with her family that truly meant the most to her. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she adored every moment with them. One of her most cherished traditions was a special family holiday they created together—“Moons Out, Spoons Out.” On each full moon, her family would gather to share laughs, love, and ice cream. It was more than a tradition—it was a symbol of the deep connection and joy she brought into their lives, a tradition that will continue with her memory held close.

JoAnn leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Timothy Marotte and his wife Katherine of Merrimack, Michael Marotte of Merrimack, and Meghan Marotte of Nashua. She was a devoted and adoring grandmother to her three granddaughters—Mallory, Maya, and Sadie—who brought endless pride and happiness into her life.

She is also survived by her brothers, Richard Trudel and his wife Barbara of Dracut, MA; and Joseph Trudel and his wife Ann of Pelham; her sister Brenda Fell of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

In honor of JoAnn’s wishes, her family will hold a celebration of life on April 22 from 5:00pm until 8:00 pm on the 4th Floor of the Nashua Masonic Temple, 196 Main Street in Nashua, to remember the warmth, laughter, and love she brought to all who knew her.
