Joan Labbe, 93, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Ansley Place in Nashua surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Labbe with who she celebrated 45 years of marriage prior to his passing on September 11, 2005.
Joan was born in Sherwood Forest, England on August 16, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth Walling.
For many years, she was employed as a machine operator for Sprague Electric and later worked as a technician for a local pharmacy formerly in Nashua until her retirement.
In her free time, she loved to attend Bingo, she loved to dance and was a great dancer. She loved to spend time with her family and her great grandchildren. She was a hard worker, a kind and generous person with a big heart.
Joan is survived by her two children, Paul Persian and his wife Rosemary and Melody Houston; three grandchildren, Shannon Houston and her husband James, Brandon Nadeau and his wife Christina, and Amber Fitzgerald and her husband Steve. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren, Henry, Caroline, Nash, Wesley, Edward, and Declan and her sister Pat Hamilton and nieces, Kathleen, Joan and nephew, Raymond of England.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter Susan Labbe McNally in 2008.
Relatives and friends are invited to Joan’s Funeral Service on WEDNESDAY, September 6th at 11 AM in ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMTION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her interment will be held privately.
