John Couturier Obituary

NASHUA- John Joseph Couturier, 85, of Goffstown, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Sunday, January 24, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Fortunato) Couturier with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

John was born in Goffstown on February 28, 1935, and was the son of the late Leon and Bertha (Gerard) Couturier.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War until he was honorably discharged.

For over 25 years, John was employed as Nashua Corp as a roller until his retirement.

In his free time, John loved to play cards with his family and friends, but his passion was the game of cribbage, a game he played everyday, where he was hard to beat. He was a kind man that would give you a helping hand or the last penny in his pocket. You would often find him snow blowing neighbor’s driveway after a major snow; before they woke up. He was a fan of the Red Sox where you would find him watching their games, he would attend a few local games of the Fisher Cats. His favorite team to cheer on was the New England Patriots. Most important to John was his family, he enjoyed just being around you, where he would always greet you with a smile.

John was a loving father to his children, Bruce Couturier of Goffstown, Brian Couturier and his wife Julie of Virginia, and Lisa Migneault and her husband Matt of Brookline. He was a proud grandfather (AKA Pa) to Zachary Migneault, Sierra Migneault, Alexi Migneault, Harrison Migneault, Antonia Couturier, Alanna Couturier, Caroline Couturier, and Lucas Couturier.

In addition to his wife, Margaret, he was predeceased by Paul Couturier, Norman Couturier, Giselle LaRose, Jeannette Berube, and most recently Jean Dube, his twin sister.
