Joseph Stipe Obituary

Joseph Anthony Stipe, 24, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, September 17, 2022 following a hard fought battle with the disease of depression for most of his life. His efforts to overcome it, were heroic.

He was born in Nashua, NH on December 7, 1997, and is the beloved son of Scott J. and Mary C. (Cahill) Stipe. While being homeschooled, he relished learning and absorbing knowledge, and anyone who knew him thought of him as a “walking encyclopedia.”

In his free time, he enjoyed playing video games and creating friendships with his online gaming friends. A true gentle giant, a kind-hearted soul with a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. He truly loved animals, especially dogs. He had two fur babies that he cherished dearly, Sam and Percy. Joseph had a passion for technology and learning all new aspects of it. He was extremely talented and built his own computers from scratch. Joseph was also quite a good cook, and especially enjoyed time in the kitchen with his dad, making country fried steak. Above all, spending time with his family was at the top of his priority list. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Scott and Mary, he is survived by his three brothers, Christopher Stipe and his wife Alana of Brazil, Michael Stipe of New Boston, NH, and William Stipe of New Boston, NH; his sister Sarah Gaines of Florida; as well as his aunt and uncle Ann and Jim Conceison of Nashua; and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joseph’s Funeral Mass on SATURDAY, September 24th at 9 AM in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua. His burial will take place at the convenience of his family.
