Juan I. Arizmendi Rivera

Juan I. Arizmendi Rivera, 75, died peacefully on January 1, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. He is the beloved husband of the late Diana I. Rodriguez Ramos with whom he shared 47 years of marriage until her passing on March 5, 2023.

Juan was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on June 26, 1949 and was the son of the late Luis G. Arizmendi Cintron and Evangelista Rivera Fuentes. He received his education in Puerto Rico and received his law degree from University of Puerto Rico, Cayey and Rio Piedras Campus and Pontifical Catholic University School of Law, Ponce, Puerto Rico.  

For over 30 years, Juan practiced law in Puerto Rico under his own firm. He happily, graciously, and humbly served his many friends and family of his community until his retirement.

In his free time, Juan enjoyed listening to music and leisurely reading. He was a true fan of the NBA especially of the LA Lakers and most importantly an avid and loyal fan of Lebron James. He liked to watch foreign soap operas as well. Time spent with his family was his number one priority, never missing an opportunity to reminisce about his life stories and achievements and sharing those memories with his family. He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

Juan is survived by his three children, Kizzy Arizmendi Rodriguez of Nashua, Juan I. Arizmendi Rodriguez of Puerto Rico and Ansel Arizmendi Rodriguez of Texas; his eight grandchildren, Erien, Jasiel, Ansel Yael, Zariel Kenier, Aksel Melik, Avianna Serenity, Amber Karielyz, Amani, and Justin; as well as many sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Diana and his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Luis Guillermo and Felix Angel.

At Juan’s request, all services will be held in Puerto Rico. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Rochette Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
