June Marie Vander Haegen

June Marie (Plourde) Vander Haegen, 95, died peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2025 at the Huntington at Nashua. She was the beloved wife of the late William Vander Haegen with whom she shared 61 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2012.

June was born in Pembroke, New Hampshire on January 14, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Percy John and Marie Anna (Mercier) Plourde. She received her education and graduated from Pembroke Academy.

For many years, June worked for NE Telephone Company as a statistical analyst while living in New Hampshire and William was serving in the United States Air Force. In 1953, they moved to Reading, Massachusetts, and during this time, June worked as a supervisor in a Boston bank.

In her free time, June enjoyed gardening, music, needlework and board games.

 She is survived by her two children, Jessica Domenico and her husband Gary of Fairfield, Connecticut and William Matthew Vander Haegen and his wife Geraldine of Olympia, WA; her 3 grandchildren, Juliann Vander Haegen, Alyssa and Genevieve Domenico.

At the request of June’s family, a spring interment will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Allenstown, New Hampshire.
