Kenneth P. Welch (Ken), a resident of Milford, NH, passed away peacefully after a short illness on April 27, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on January 11, 1964, in Woburn, MA, he was the beloved son of Dorothy (Cella) Welch and Richard F. Welch. Ken grew up in Center Square, PA and graduated from Wissahickon High School in 1981.

Ken was a fabulous cook and worked his entire career in the Restaurant Industry. In the mid 1980’s he, along with two of his brothers and other family members, owned a small but very popular family restaurant, Welch’s Grapevine, in Pelham, NH. This is where he met his former wife Lisa who remembers fondly how he accommodated all her cravings when she was pregnant with their first son Dillon. From there Ken was a General Manager for Applebee’s Restaurants for many years. Finally, he was the chef at the Country Tavern in Nashua, NH known for prime rib and martinis.

Above all, Ken took great pride in being a father. He is survived by his two sons, Dillon Welch (Madi) of Pittsfield, MA and Jesse Welch (Nitasha) of Boscawen, NH who carry forward his memory and the lessons he instilled in them. His love for them was unwavering, and his influence will continue to guide them in the years ahead. He is also survived by his former wife of 30 years, Lisa Yannone Welch of Lenox, MA three brothers, Rick Welch of Florida and Ed and Dave Welch of Pennsylvania as well as many nephews and nieces who fondly called him “Funcle”, the fun uncle.

Ken was predeceased by his parents Richard and Dorothy Welch.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor and as a gentle soul with a big heart. Though he is gone, the impact he made endures in the hearts of his family and friends.
