Kimberly "Kim" Anne Costa, 63, a recent cancer survivor, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Kim was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 20, 1962 and is the daughter of John “Jack” Reed and the late Ruth Anne (White) Reed. Kim grew up and received her education in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts. She graduated from Tyngsboro High School with the class of 1980, where she proudly took on the role of high school mascot, as the Tyngsboro Tiger, to spend more time with her cheerleader friends.
For over 30 years, Kim worked as a Senior Finance Manager for Homeyer Consulting Services.
In her free time, Kim loved escaping to the coast of Maine, her annual family Christmas trip to Northern New Hampshire, and never turned down the chance for a peaceful day by the lake. She treasured shopping trips with her daughters and friends, delighting in the simple joy of being together. Kim was a celebrator and everyone’s biggest fan, always the first to reach out with encouragement when an accomplishment was achieved, often honoring those she was proud of with a dinner gathering and a thoughtful champagne toast and words that shone as brightly as her beautiful personality. Kim found happiness in many little things; the warm glow of Yankee Candles, a perfectly made martini, and a cozy Hallmark movie; but nothing in her life was more important than her girls. They were truly the light of her world and the center of her heart. Kim will be remembered for her warm-nurturing, fun-loving, quick-witted, and bubbly spirit, and for the way she could make anyone feel like a friend. Her radiant smile and loving presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her father, John “Jack” Reed of Amherst, NH, she is also survived by her two daughters, Chelsea Couture and her husband Joshua of Amherst, NH and Savanna Costa and her fiancé Matt Gunst of Auburn, NH; her grand-dog, Luna and grand-cat, Connor; numerous dear friends whom became her chosen family; her two siblings, Wayne Reed and his wife Diane and Donna Reed Boucher and her husband Kevin; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, Ruth Anne Reed, she is predeceased by her brother Thomas Reed and her former husband Gary Costa.
Relatives and friends are invited to Kim’s visitation on THURSDAY, January 8th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on FRIDAY, January 9th at 12 Noon; gathering may begin at 11:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
