Leo Lavoie of Nashua, NH passed away on August 6th, 2023 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, surrounded by his loving family.
Known by his family as Pepe, he is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lorraine, his son Lee and his wife Sherri, his daughter Lori and her husband Brian, his sister-in-law Norma, his grandchildren Mitchell and Kelly and Gina and Colby, his brother-in-law Richard Bernier, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Leo was born and raised in Nashua, staying here to raise his family. He worked as a machinist at Barrett & Gould. Through his years, he purchased several multi-tenant buildings in Nashua. His tenants affectionately called him Mr. Leo, and he has several lifelong friendships from those years.
Leo enjoyed woodworking, family camping trips, traveling, watching his grandchildren and nieces and nephews grow up and family cookouts.
Leo lived his life by his favorite motto “It doesn’t cost anything to be kind.”
Friends and family are invited to Leo’s visitation on THURSDAY August 10th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His funeral mass will take place on FRIDAY August 11th 9:30 AM at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua. His interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
