NASHUA- Leopold, A. Dupont, 97, died peacefully Friday evening, August 2, 2019, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeannette (Marois) Dupont who predeceased him on September 5, 1994.
Leopold was born in Berlin, NH on March 20, 1922, and was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Nichol) Dupont.
He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in December of 1945.
He was employed as a machinist for Nashua Corporation for many years until his retirement.
Leopold is survived by his two daughters, Mary "Betty" Roy of Nashua and Catherine Laliberte of Nashua; his five grandchildren, Jennifer Sweeny (Daniel), Douglas Roy (Karen), Melanie Shepherd, Sara Laliberte and Rebecca Schaechtle (Russell). He is also survived by his five great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kyle, Libby, Jackson, and Lewis and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by six brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to Leo's visitation on WEDNESDAY, August 7th from 9 AM until 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W. Hollis Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will follow in the Church at 10 AM. Interment will take place in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leo’s name to St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W. Hollis Street, Nashua, NH.
