BEDFORD – Lorraine Desmarais, 89, of North Port, Florida, previously of Merrimack, NH died peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Bedford Nursing and Rehab surrounded by her family.
Lorraine was born in Salem, Massachusetts on April 20, 1930, and was the daughter of Omer and Florida (Lavallee) Thibault.
For many years, she was employed at BAE as a design specialist.
In her free time she adored cross stitching, painting and was extremely crafty and was also an avid seafood lover. In her younger years, she would enjoy going clam digging. Above all her most cherished time was spent with her family.
Lorraine is survived by her son Steve Desmarais and his wife Pauline of Merrimack; her three grandchildren, Christine Doubleday and her husband John, Heather Ranfos and her husband Rick, and Eric Desmarais and his wife Michelle. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren, Jared, Katie, Isabella, Mason, Mya, Hali, and Cameron; her sister Claudette Cleaves of Florida and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister Rita Babineau and brother Gerard Thibault.
Relatives and friends are invited to Lorraine’s visitation on MONDAY, February 24th from 5 until 8 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on TUESDAY, February 25th at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mercy, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack.
