OBITUARY – LUCILLE A. (PROVENCHER) KENNEY
NASHUA- Lucille A. (Provencher) Kenney, 84, died peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Greenbriar Healthcare surrounded by her loving family. Lucille is the beloved wife of Richard R. Kenney.
Lucille was born in Manchester, NH on July 2, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Adelina (Chevrette) Provencher.
For many years she was employed as a cashier for Hannaford but once she and Richard began their family, she took on the role of mother to her four children.
Lucille loved to sing, especially in her church choir. She enjoyed camping trips with her family as well as reading. In her younger years, Lucille had a love for dancing and she also collected Analee Dolls. She traveled often with her husband and children; some of her favorite destinations included Hawaii, Bermuda, and the Bahamas. Her most cherished time was that simply spent with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Lucille will forever be missed and remembered as the kind-hearted and patient wife and mother.
In addition to her husband, Richard, she is survived by her three children Michael Kenney of Nashua, Steven Kenney and his wife Michelle of Nashua; and Sharon Kenney of Cape Coral, FL; her four grandchildren, Christopher Kenney of Nashua, Nichole Kenney of Durham, NC, Alexander Kenney of Nashua and Sarah Kenney of Nashua; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lucille was predeceased by her son, Robert Kenney, her daughter-in-law, Noreen Kenney as well as her siblings.
Her family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff at Greenbriar and Home, Health, and Hospice for their exceptional care of Lucille.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on MONDAY, May 21st from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E Dunstable Road, Nashua and interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua.
