Mary Alice Covert, 86, died peacefully on Wednesday evening, July 19, 2023 at St. Jospeh Hospital in Nashua.
Mary was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on December 13, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Waldo and Ruby (White) Jameson. She attended and graduated Alvrine High School and continued her higher education achieving her associate’s degree.
For her entire career, she worked as an accountant at various companies, however working at Benson’s Wild Animal Farm as well as Osgood Hardware were her most memorable.
In her free time, Mary lovingly volunteered her time at the Nashua Soup Kitchen as well as being active in her retirement community. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and quilting and was an excellent cook. Mary was also an avid reader. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family, who she loved deeply.
She is survived by her son Mark Covert and his wife Heather of North Carolina; her two grandchildren, Adam J. Covert and Britney Pinzon and her husband Fernando; and her three great-grandchildren, Kailee, Oliver, and Jackson. She is also survived by her sister Sandra Ellis and her husband Paul of Florida; her former daughter-in-law, Janet Woollam and her husband David of Nashua; her stepson H.V. Covert of Arizona as well as many nieces and nephews.
