Mary Jane Heffernan Obituary

Mary Jane (Russo) Heffernan passed away on November 17, 2022; at the age of 75, after a long battle with Alzheimers. Although Alzheimers robbed her of her mind early in life, her warmth, caring nature and beautiful smile still brightened a room.

Mary Jane was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend loved by everyone she came in contact with in life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Douglas Heffernan. Her son Thomas Heffernan and his wife Arielle; her daughter Michele Guilfoil and her husband Tom; her daughter Danielle Dion and her husband Mike; Her 10 grandchildren: Samantha, Abigail, Taylor, Christopher, Matthew, Brendan, Jacoby, Shiloh, Joshua and Clinton; her great grandchildren Charlotte and Harrison; her sister Carol Hamilton and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents William and Kathryn Russo and her sister Joan Murray.

Mary Jane was passionate about her faith and family. She was a devout Catholic, volunteering many hours to her church community. She loved hosting the family reunions every year, and never saw it as a task, but rather a great joy. She always had an uncanny ability to find happiness in even her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Services will take place on Saturday, November 26th at St Joseph the Worker Church at 777 W Hollis St, Nashua, NH. There will be visitation in the Narthex of the church from 9:15 am to 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass starting at 10:30 am. Reception to follow mass.
