Maurice Bentley Obituary

Maurice R. Bentley, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Langdon Place in Nashua, NH. He was born on March 16, 1945, in Nashua to the late Roy and Beatrice (Cote) Bentley.

Growing up, Maurice also known as Moe, received his education in the Nashua School District, graduating as a member of the class of 1964. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War who earned 2 Purple Hearts and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He then earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Tennessee. He spent 20+ years at Nashua Corporation and left as the Quality Manager for the Toner business group.

Maurice was the beloved husband of Jacqueline A. (St. Jean) Bentley, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. In 2004, he began his retirement by moving to Barefoot Bay, Florida. He enjoyed the weather, spending time on their patio and smoking his cigars. In his free time, Maurice enjoyed visiting casinos and going on long car rides. He liked to go out to eat and enjoyed his time with his family whenever he could. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the teams in New England and Florida.

Members of his family include; wife Jacqueline A. (St. Jean) Bentley of Merrimack, NH; daughter Lori Cordova of Merrimack, NH; son Keith Bentley and his wife Beth of Merrimack, NH; grandchildren Nathaniel Cordova and his wife Andrea of Nashua, NH, Aaron Cordova and his wife Jessica of Merrimack, NH, and Sara Cordova of Merrimack, NH; great-grandchildren Grayson Cordova and Reagan Cordova; siblings Ronald Bentley of Barefoot Bay, FL and Linda Bentley of Arlington, VA and additional extended family.

Maurice was predeceased by his son-in-law Ronald Cordova Jr., his siblings William Bentley and Elizabeth (Kuchinski) D’Angelo, and his sister-in-law Patricia Bentley.

There will be no formal services at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Maurice’s name to the American Heart Association (heart.org/) or the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org)
