Monique A. Howes passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday June 15, 2024.
Monique was born on July 7, 1957 in Nashua, NH and was the daughter of the late Emilien and Lucille (Fournier) Riendeau.
Monique graduated from the Nashua school system. Years later she began working as a secretary for the organization Meals on Wheels, which she eventually retired from.
In her free time, Monique loved playing computer games and talking to her friends. She enjoyed taking rides to all beaches, but the beaches in Maine were her favorite. Monique loved animals, especially dogs. She frequently took in the beauty of nature, including trees and flowers. Monique was known for sending thoughtful cards out to her family and friends. Above all, Monique loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Monique is survived by her daughter Jennifer Varrieur of Concord; her two grandchildren, Arianna and Nolan Varrieur; her three siblings, Guy Riendeau and his wife Michele of Merrimack, Daniel Riendeau of Nashua, and Denis Riendeau and his wife Pam of Nashua; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Monique was predeceased by her brother, Richard Riendeau and her Son-in-Law, Christopher Varrieur.
Relatives and friends are invited to Monique’s visitation on SUNDAY, June 23rd from 1 until 4 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on MONDAY, June 24th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Her interment will follow in the Old St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels in Nashua, NH in Monique’s name.
