Norman Lepine, 83, of Bedford, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 8th, 2023. He was a graduate of Nashua High School and then served four years in the United States Coast Guard, which prepared him to become a master electrician. During that time, he established his own jazz band playing the tenor saxophone, entertaining many at various clubs and wedding venues.
Norman treasured 59 blessed years of marriage with his precious "hun" Shirley, who together raised four loving children. He was employed by Sears Roebuck & Co., American Can Company in Merrimack, NH, and for several years as the production manager at Summit Packaging Systems in Manchester, NH. In 1988, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a restaurant and, together with his wife, bought The Lobster Boat Restaurant in Merrimack, NH, before retiring in 1998.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting fishing, and a passion for spending time with family and friends. As an avid storyteller, he enjoyed hosting clambakes, holiday gatherings, and Super Bowl parties, as well as dancing and vacationing with his wife. He was an enthusiastic New England sports fan who enjoyed playing basketball, football, ice hockey, baseball, coaching, and umpiring little league games to the semi-pros.
Norman is predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Lena Lepine, childhood twin sister Mona Lepine, brother Gerard Lepine of Texas, and sister-in-law Barbara Lepine of NH.
His surviving family includes his loving wife Shirley, brothers William and Michael Lepine, and sisters-in-law Doris Pierson and Constance Miller.
His children will greatly miss Norman: son Scott and his wife Kathleen Lepine, daughter Cheryl and her husband Charles Tewell, son Reverend Steven Lepine, daughter Melanie and her husband Jean-Guy Letarte, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and wonderful lifelong friends.
He and Shirley were faithful communicants of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford, NH.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated by his son, Reverend Steven Lepine, on Wednesday, October 18th, at 11 a.m. at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Nashua, NH. A wake will occur before the Mass from 10-11 am in the church's narthex, and burial will follow at St Louis de Gonzague Cemetery on West Hollis St, Nashua, NH.
