Paul Moriarty Jr. Obituary

Paul R. Moriarty, Jr., 77, died peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Bedford Nursing and Rehab. He is the beloved husband of Cynthia “Cindy” (Karlonas) Moriarty with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.

Paul was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on July 11, 1947 and was the son of the late Paul R. Sr. and Rena (Olson) Moriarty. He received his elementary school education at St. Patrick School in Nashua and continued his education and graduated from Nashua High School.

For 42 years, he was employed as an operations manager for Interactive Data Corp at locations in Boxboro, Massachusetts and Wall Street, New York until his retirement.

In his free time, Paul was an avid golfer. He began golfing in high school alongside participating in track however, his love for golf flourished throughout his life. He won numerous city championships in three different years; 1973, 1979, and 1984 and proudly won the State Amateur Championship in 1975 in New Hampshire. Golf was truly one of his passions. He also was a devoted New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. Paul was a wealth of knowledge when it came to sports analytics and liked to watch ESPN. Paul and his wife, Cindy, also thoroughly enjoyed traveling to various destinations including the Caribbean, Aruba (which was visited at least 20 times and affectionately referred to as their “happy place”!), and summering in Ogunquit, Maine often. Enjoying life with his wife, children, family and friends was always a priority for Paul. He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

In addition to his wife, Cindy, he is survived by his two sons, Jason Moriarty and his wife Sara of Westford and Adam Moriarty and his wife Margaret Woolwine of Chicago; his two grandchildren, Aiden and Bennett; his two step-grandchildren, April Collamore and TJ Collamore; as well as his stepdaughter, Nicole Bicknell and her husband Joel of Nashua and their children Oliver and Samuel. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Moriarty and his wife Debbie of Hudson and his nephew, Matthew Moriarty.

Paul’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bedford Nursing and Rehab for their dedication, kindness and compassion shown to Paul and his family during their time in their care.

At Paul’s family’s request, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
