Phyllis E. Lewis, 91, of Nashua, passed away peacefully at Premier Rehab on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She was born March 27, 1933, in Coventry, RI to the late James Tourgee and Helen
(Remington) Bartlett. Phyllis was the beloved wife of Edgar M. Lewis for 53 wonderful years, prior to his passing in 2005.
In her free time. Phyllis was an avid bowler, playing in many different tournaments and leagues. She also enjoyed playing bingo, as well as cribbage which she played with her grandson daily. Phyllis also enjoyed cooking and baking. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends the most.
Phyllis is survived by her son James Lewis and his wife Kathy of Palmetto, FL; her two grandchildren Jason Lewis and his wife Cindy of Hudson, NH and Jared Lewis and his wife Jamie of Tampa, FL; her five great grandchildren Jaden Lewis, Mena Lewis, Abigail Lewis, Nolan Lewis, and Luke Lewis; her four siblings Janice Cornell, Carolyn Parente, Loxi Ellingwood and her husband David, and Brian and his wife Stephanie Tourgee, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Edgar, Phyllis was predeceased by her siblings Russell Tourgee, Lynn Long, Sharon Pero, and Gilbert Tourgee.
Services will be held privately by the family. The burial will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in North Kingstown, RI.
