Raymond Joseph Drew III, 68, of Nashua, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2025. Born on August 17, 1956, in Lowell, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Raymond J. Drew, Jr. and Doris (Hibbert) DeWitt. Raymond shared 31 years of marriage with his wife, Debra (Fisher) Drew.
Raymond attended Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, MA, followed by Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. He dedicated 25 years of his life to Haartz Corporation in Acton, MA, where he began in manufacturing and continued in sales before retiring. A man of many interests, he was especially passionate about anything on wheels. Raymond spent countless hours rebuilding motorcycles and had a deep love for cars. He could often be found at the New England Dragway, racing his prized Buick Grand National.
Beyond his automotive passions, Raymond was a lover of knowledge. He was an avid reader, enjoyed music of all kinds, especially Steeley Dan, and had an uncanny talent for music trivia. Raymond also had a love for dogs.
He is survived by Debra, and by his two daughters: Jocelyn Drew and her wife, Alaina Drew of New York, and Jessica Drew and her significant other, Zachary Sawmiller, of Massachusetts; his stepdaughters Tiffany Hinson of New Hampshire and Jessica Hinson of Virginia. Raymond is also survived by his sister, Norah Drew Iveson, and her husband Leon, and by his nephew, Sean Iveson, all of Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Cynthia Queen Drew.
Family and friends are invited to Raymond’s celebration of Life on Saturday June 7th from 12 until 3 PM at Fody’s American Tavern, Clinton Street, Nashua. Donations may be made in Raymond’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at , Tunnel to Towers Foundation , or the National Alliance on Mental Illness
