Richard Henry Dube, known to all as Dick Dube, passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 81. Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, Dick lived nearly 60 years of his life in Manchester.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Archambault and her husband Rick; his son, Ric Dube and his wife Karen Isaacson; and his beloved grandchildren, Danielle Crump and her husband Ryan, Haley Archambault, and Max Isaacson. He is survived by his sister, Priscilla Gagnon; his brother, Bill Dube, and beloved sister-in-law, Terry Dube. Dick was predeceased by his brother, Bob Dube, and his former wife, Pamela Dube, with whom he remained close friends following the end of their marriage.
Dick was a lifelong learner and creative spirit. He was an accomplished photographer and a devoted student of classical-style guitar. In recent years, he’d quickly developed impressive skill as a portrait artist, began studying piano, and made a list of modern literary classics, dedicating himself to reading as many as he could. Dick was fascinated with other people, and instinctively preferred to be the most interested person in the room, rather than the most interesting one.
He abandoned an early career as an accountant, preferring real estate. Nearing retirement, he returned to accounting, this time finding satisfaction as a volunteer for AARP Tax-Aide, completing hundreds of tax returns for seniors, veterans, and low-income families, at no charge. Dick actively raised funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the New Hampshire Food Bank, and the Manchester City Library Foundation. When his health permitted, he visited the American Red Cross on a regular schedule to donate blood.
Dick’s ashes will be interred at Saint Louis Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements entrusted to the care of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
