Richard Daniel Letendre

NASHUA- Richard Daniel Letendre, 61, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Richard was the husband of the late Catherine (Hill) Letendre who predeceased him in January of 2013.

Richard was born in Nashua on October 5, 1958 and was the son of the late Paul L. and Dora I. (Bechard) Letendre.

Prior to his retirement, Richard was employed as a Nashua Fire Fighter for over 20 years. Following his retirement, he was employed at McLaughlin Oil for over 20 years.

In his free time, Richard was an avid Nascar Fan, loved eating, trying new foods, and cooking. His most favorite type of food was breakfast foods. He liked to listen to public radio and enjoyed a nice cigar occasionally. Richard loved to learn. He would obtain new knowledge in any way available to him, and loved sharing the things he had learned with those closest to him. He had a green thumb, in his younger years tending to his garden at home and later on in life, liked to have his home filled with plants. Richard was extremely proud of his service to the fire department as well as his French heritage. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family and friends.

Richard is survived by his two daughters, Christine Lilley and her husband Branden of Manchester and Elizabeth Letendre and her significant other Michael Neimela of Hudson; his six brothers, Colin Letendre and his wife Mary Jane of Rock Island, IL, Michael Letendre of Curran, MI, Philip Letendre and his wife Linda of Hudson, NH, Carl Letendre and his wife Doris of Fairport, NY, Neal Letendre of Curran, MI, and John Letendre and his wife Cindy of Keene, NH. He is also survived by his best friend of many years, Marc Bouley and his family of Nashua; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At the request of Richard’s family, all services will be held privately. Arrangements under the direction of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Donations may be made in Richard’s name to the Nashua Fire Fighters Association, 60 Technology Way, Unit 2E4, Nashua, NH 03060.
