Ricky was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 4, 1957. He was the beloved son of the late Daniel and Barbara (Wolf) Muldoon. At 17 years of age, Rick went on to proudly serve his country as a Combat Controller in the United States Air Force. While serving he obtained his education in the early stages of technology. After the Air Force Rick began a career in prototype engineering, where he aided in the design, development, and assembly of the first wireless broadband modem.
Rick spent most of his professional career in business development and sales, where he innovated the forefront of five successful start-up companies. Rick revealed it had always been a dream of his to start a company with his son. Subsequently, in Rick’s later years, he and his son owned and operated a technology integration company.
Rick’s greatest enjoyments were in, on, or around the ocean. His infatuation with the water led him to many ventures, scuba-diving the Great Barrier Reef, and catching an 800-pound bluefin tuna are two among many. However, the water was not the only thing Rick enjoyed, he appreciated all the pleasures of the outdoors. Rick was a skier and prided himself in skiing one of the largest ski mountains in the world located in Zermatt Switzerland.
Rick made many mentions to the fact that he had already enjoyed all the greatest pleasures in life and had done everything he had ever dreamed of. Rick’s later delights in life were the accompaniment of his cherished family, and his pride in being a Papa. In addition to his wife, Carol, and his two children, he is survived by; his grandchildren, Maci and Cole Letourneau; his four siblings, Denise Muldoon of Red Oak, Texas, Mark Muldoon of Florida, Stephanie Ortez and her husband Phillip of Irving, Texas, and Monica Shofner and her husband Jason of Princeton, Illinois.
