Robert Brangwynne Obituary
Robert Martin "Marty" Brangwynne of Litchfield, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on June 13, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Marie Stevens (Thibault), with whom he shared 18 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, MA, on July 12, 1954, Marty was the son of the late Robert W. Brangwynne and Anna Mae Brangwynne (Martin). He was a proud graduate of Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, TX, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
Following graduation, Marty built a successful career in the insurance industry, dedicating more than three decades to the profession and opening his own insurance agency. In addition, he proudly served as an employee of Fallon Ambulance for two decades, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to those he served.
In his free time, Marty enjoyed both playing and watching golf, spending time playing cornhole with family and friends, keeping up with politics, and listening to classical music. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his children, family, and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
Marty will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Marie Stevens, of Litchfield, NH; his son, Paul Brangwynne and his fiancé, Trey Weaver, of Washington, DC; his daughter, Leza Brangwynne, of Kenosha, WI; his stepdaughter, Jennifer Stevens, of Woburn, MA; his stepson, Daniel Fritz, of Litchfield, NH; his brother, Billy Brangwynne, of Dorchester, MA; his brother, John Brangwynne, and his wife, Vivian, of Bradenton, FL; his sister, Pamela Kostaras and her husband, Chris, of North Attleboro, MA; his sister, Muriel Castronova and her husband, Al, of Rockport, MA; his brother Jimmy Brangwynne and his wife Fadia of Mansfield, MA; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his late sister Carol O’Keefe of Hull, MA
Those wishing to honor Marty's memory are invited to make a contribution to First Tee, an organization that introduces young people to the game of golf while teaching the values of integrity, respect, and perseverance. Those were qualities Marty admired both on and off the course.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with additional information to follow.
