Robert D. Moreau, 89, died peacefully at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Greta (Downey) Moreau.
Robert was born in Nashua, NH on February 28, 1932 and was the son of the late Alfred and Lumina (Forcier) Moreau.
He received his education in the Nashua School System and continued his education at Suffolk University where he graduated in 1965 with his Bachelor’s degree in science.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War until he was honorably discharged.
For over 30 years, he was employed as a chemist for Polaroid until his retirement. While working for Polaroid, Robert helped make many advances in technology.
In his free time, he enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, reading any book, as well as photography. Robert was a dedicated parishioner at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Nashua. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his loving family.
Robert is survived by his three children, Josylin McAloon of Merrimack, Lelsher Costello of Lady Lake, Florida, and Reginald Pelletier and his wife Sandy of Davenport, Iowa; as well as his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Greta, he was predeceased by his children Perley Fifield and Maryhelen Courcy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Robert’s WALK THROUGH visitation on TUESDAY, April 27th from 6 until 8 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on WEDNESDAY, April 28th at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
