Ronald Plourde, 82, died peacefully on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Bedford Hills.
Ronald was born in Nashua on February 2, 1939 and was the son of the late Willie and Jeanne (Marquis) Plourde. He attended schools in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School with the class of 1956.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until he was honorably discharged. While enlisted in the Air Force, Ronald was a member of the military band. One of his most memorable stories was when he played for the late President John F. Kennedy.
For many years, Ronald was employed in the Assessor’s Office for the City of Nashua until his retirement. He also worked as a drum teacher in the city, where he was able to teach many students over 50 years.
In his free time, he enjoyed reading, doing crossword and line puzzles, as well as listening to Jazz music. He also loved his time playing with the American Legion band.
He is survived by many special cousins including Claude and Claudette Dumais and many dear friends including Joan Fesenden and Jamie Fox.
Relatives and friends are invited to Ronald’s graveside service on FRIDAY, June 18th at 11 am in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, 32 Pine Hill Avenue, Nashua, NH. Arrangements entrusted to ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ronald’s name to Home, Health, and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
