Ryan Smith

Ryan Wayne Smith, 40, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He is the beloved husband of Stephanie (Thoman) Smith with whom he shared 16 years of marriage.

Ryan was born in Rochester, New Hampshire on July 30, 1981, and is the son of Pamela (Houle) Columbia and Wayne Smith.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, 100 1st Airborne, until he was honorably discharged in October of 2003.

For many years, he was employed as a driver for UPS.

In his free time, Ryan was an avid fisherman and hunter; he loved to spend time outdoors. He will be deeply missed especially for being a funny and loving family man. Ryan was a big believer in life after death, and God has a greater plan. Ryan’s memory will always live on. He did everything to make sure he provided for his family. His most cherished time was spent with his loving family.

 In addition to his wife, Stephanie of Nashua, his father, Wayne Smith of Virginia and Canada, and his mother Pamela Columbia and her husband Greg of Wolfeboro, NH; he is also survived by his five children, Kendal Smith, Isaiah Smith, Talen Grant Smith, Noah Smith, and Rion Smith; his grandson, Koda Smith; and his brothers Jon Wayne Smith of CT, Adam Smith of NV, and Samuel Smith and his wife Alysse of VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Ryan was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Broadhurst.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ryan’s visitation on SATURDAY, October 16th from 1 until 3:45 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home at 3:45 PM. Interment and presentation of military honors to be held in the spring at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
