Sharon Collins McMullen, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on October 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on December 11, 1940, in Emmett, Idaho, to Jesse and Gladys (Hunter) Needles. She attended high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduating with the Class of 1958.
Over the years, Sharon built a rewarding career as an accountant for Florentine Granite & Stone in San Diego, where her dedication, precision, and kind spirit made her a valued part of the company family.
Sharon was blessed with two loving marriages. She first shared her life with C.E. Collins until his passing in 1996, and later with Charles McMullen until his passing in 2024. She cherished the love, laughter, and family both marriages brought into her life.
An avid crossword puzzle enthusiast and football fan, Sharon found joy in lake trips with her family, time by the ocean, and visits to Lake Winnipesaukee. She loved Mexican food, good company, and sharing plenty of laughter. Every year on her birthday, she received chocolate-covered cherries — a sweet gesture that grew into a beloved inside family joke and treasured tradition.
A woman of deep faith, Sharon was a strong Christian whose kindness, devotion, and humor touched everyone she met. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Sharon’s warmth, laughter, and steadfast love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Sharon is survived by her five children, Kristina Prior and her husband Randy of Hudson, Karen Huxley and her husband Richard of Ignacio, CO, Tracy Collins and his wife Heather of Avondale, AZ, Kimberly Walther and her husband Richard of Imperial, CA, and Tammy Conrad and her husband John of Providence, KY; her 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, as well as extended family, including her beloved in laws from the Collins family and blended family members.
She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Panoyan.
