Shirley Bonenfant

Shirley Bonenfant, 89, died peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Fairview Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She is the beloved wife of Robert Bonenfant with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.

Shirley was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on January 8, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Doris (Partridge) Connor. She received her education in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School with the class of 1953.

For over 25 years, she was employed within City Hall for the City of Nashua, most recently working as the assistant purchasing manager until her retirement in 2005.

In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, including crocheting, knitting, ceramics, and painting. She loved to take leisurely walks and spend time in her yard. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who she truly cherished.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her two sons, Donald Bonenfant and his wife Carole Caisse of Weare, NH and Michael Bonenfant and his wife Katherine of Yorba Linda, CA; her four grandchildren, Joshua Bonenfant and his girlfriend Devyn Chabot, Cameron Bonenfant and his wife Destiny, Amber J. Bonenfant and Chad M. Bonenfant; as well as her niece Beverly Fussell.

Shirley was predeceased by her brother, Clarence Connor and her sister Marcy Fussell.
