Spyros P. Panourgias, 72, of Windham, passed away on July 7, 2025, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. He was the husband of Maria (Stamataki) Panourgias for 42 years.
Born in Athens, Greece, on November 18, 1952, Spyros was the son of the late Panos and Loukia (Bakadritsou) Panourgias. He was educated in Athens before moving to the United States, where he attended Northeastern University, graduating with his bachelors degree.
Spyros worked as a self-employed accountant throughout his career, earning the respect and trust of many clients over the years.
Spyros found joy in simple pleasures such spending time in his yard and maintaining it, and caring for animals, especially dogs. In his younger years, he loved traveling to Greece, cherishing his roots and the culture that shaped him.
He is survived by his wife Maria and his children; Panos Panourgias and his wife Elma Murataj of Windham, Loukas Panourgias of Windham, and Sophia Panourgias of Windham. He also leaves behind his brother, Theodore Panourgias of Columbus, Ohio, and two cherished nephews.
Spyros’s Funeral service will be held on THURSDAY, July 17th at 11 a.m. in Saint Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W. Hollis St., Nashua. His interment will follow at New Plains Cemetery, 5 Cobbetts Pond Rd, Windham, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Spyros’s name to Saint Philip Greek Orthodox Church
