The love of our lives now resides in Heaven.
Susan “Sue” Mary Marcotte, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Rehab and Nursing Center in Manchester. She was the beloved wife of Ronald H. Marcotte for 59 years.
Sue was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island but grew up in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She graduated from West High School in Pawtucket, received her associate’s degree from Middlesex Community College, and continued on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Daniel Webster College.
Sue enjoyed reading, shopping, crossword puzzles, and cooking but she truly loved traveling. Her adventures began when she married Ron, a young officer in the United States Air Force. Throughout Ron’s career the two lived all over the country and in Okinawa. The adventures continued once they settled down in Nashua, NH after Ron’s retirement from the Air Force. Sue went on several cruises, made regular trips to the Maine coast, visited Europe, and frequently travelled to visit family across the country.
More than anything else, Sue loved her family. She is survived by her husband Ron, four children, Noelle (Michael) Harvey, Christopher (Malyssa) Marcotte, Rebecca Marcotte, and Sarah Marcotte, four grandchildren, Justin Harvey, Madelyn Marcotte, Meghan Marcotte, and Macie Marcotte, along with her best friend and sister, Patricia Altinian, and brothers James O’Hern, and John O’Hern. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents James and Lauretta O’Hern and her brother Peter O’Hern.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sue’s visitation on Tuesday, June 2nd from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at 10 AM at St. Aloysius of Gonzaga Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua.
