Sylvia E. Ouellette

Sylvia E. (Maki) Ouellette died on February 25, 2025 after a brief illness.

Born on April 28, 1931 in New Ipswich, NH to late Walfred and Aina (Hackler) She was married to Norman Ouellette who preceded her in death in 2022.

Sylvia was a graduate of Appleton High School in New Ipswich, NH. 

Sylvia had a typical career for a woman of her generation.  She stayed home and raised her 6 children and also watched over many of her grandchildren during summer vacations.

She had many interests including bowling, bid whist, Hampton Beach, watching her beloved soap operas, having a cosmopolitan or glass of wine at family gatherings, which she always enjoyed.

Sylvia was Finnish so she could be feisty but she was kind hearted and caring.  She will be greatly missed by all.

Sylvia leaves behind her 5 children; Cynthia Maynard-Karg (Al), Kathy Jones (Larry), Norma Marcoux (Arthur), Bruce Ouellette (Denise), Jill Naber (Pat). Her 12 grandchildren; Alyssia Taylor (Andrew), Alethea Jones (Glen), Lakin Jones (Colleen), Tyler Poulin (Cara), Adam Marcoux (Sherry), Caitlin Lomando (Matt), Scott Marcoux (Jill), Jennifer Naber, Jessica Naber (Steve), Kyle Ouellette (Michayla), Joshua Naber, Jacob Naber. She also leaves behind 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Beside her husband Norman, she was preceded in death by her daughter Julie (Ouellette) Poulin.
