Theresa Y. Labrie

Theresa Y. Labrie, 95, a longtime resident of Nashua, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. She was the beloved wife of the late Adrien A. Labrie Sr. with whom she shared 63 years of marriage until his passing on July 28, 2010.

Theresa was born in Hudson, New Hampshire and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lydia (Deneault) Nantel. She received her education in the Nashua Catholic School System and was a graduate of St. Louis High School with the class of 1946.

In her free time, Theresa enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking. She loved to maintain her home and appreciated raising her large family. She also liked to do arts and crafts including crocheting, knitting, and doing puzzles. In her younger years, she was a member of a bowling league as well as the Catholic War Veteran Auxiliary. Theresa was a devout Catholic and a faithful parishioner of Infant Jesus Church for many decades. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family, who she loved deeply.

Theresa is survived by her eleven daughters, Jacqueline Buchan and her husband Walter of Hampton, Gisele Forcier and her husband Donald of Hernando, FL, Denise Sloper and her husband Clint of Kensington, Gloria Jenkins and her husband Bob of Milford, Celeste Finn and her husband Dave of Nottingham, NH, Lydia Belanger and her husband Robert of Nashua, Anna Nickles and her husband Mark of Hudson, Patty Labrie and Paul Mullen of Nashua, Marie Theresa Leonard and her husband Joseph of Litchfield; Angela Bush and her husband Jeffrey of Stoddard and Laurie Labrie of Litchfield; her son, Norman Labrie and his wife Susan of Hanahan, SC; and her daughter-in-law, Dorothea Labrie of Arcadia, FL. She is also survived by her 31 grandchildren, Todd Ellis, Chad Ellis, Brian Labrie, Christina Grier, Amanda Labrie, Katelyn Labrie, Melissa Dishong, Darren Forcier, Cerissa Desrosiers, David Desrosiers Jr., Jeffrey Desrosiers, Jared Winn, Kelli Cordovez, Timothy Schmitt, Benjamin Belanger, Bridgitt Belanger, William Flynn, Erin Flynn, John Britton, Sarah Britton, Joseph Britton, Hannah Britton, Adrianna Leonard, James Leonard, Ian Bush, Alexander Bush, Christopher Bush, Matthew Bush, Jakob Soule, Bria Soule and Kate Soule; as well as her 21 great-grandchildren; her brother Jerry Nantel of Nashua; dear friend, Jeanne Bourbeau of Nashua; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Theresa was predeceased by her son, Adrien Labrie Jr.; her grandson Adam Winn, her brother Maurice Nantel and his wife Cecile and her nephew Dick Nantel; as well as her two son-in-laws, James Johnston and Robert Schmitt.

Relatives and friends are invited to Theresa’s Funeral Mass on WEDNESDAY, June 7th at 10 AM in Infant Jesus Church/St. John XXIII Parish, 121 Allds Street, Nashua. Her interment will follow in the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH at 1 PM. KINDLY MEET AT THE CEMETERY.
