In loving memory
Timothy Michael Foley was born May 27, 1973 in Nashua, New Hampshire. Tim
passed peacefully in his sleep on November 30, 2024 at the age of 51. Tim was
an artist, a younger brother, a loyal friend, a loving son, a devoted family
member, and a courageous individual with schizophrenia.
Tim’s battle with schizophrenia began in his late teens and early twenties,
leading to periods of hospitalization, and moments of struggle. Despite these
challenges, Tim was remarkably open with his family and friends about his
journey, allowing them to support, guide, and share in his life. Tim’s honesty
about his mental health struggles inspired those around him. Though the disease
shaped him, it never diminished his life, creativity, or capacity for love.
Tim proudly served his country in the Marines for a period in his younger years,
and then attended Plymouth State College where he obtained his Bachelor of
Science degree as an Environmental Artist. Afterward, Tim worked at Seaboard
Lumber Company in Nashua, contributing as a faithful employee for many years.
Seaboard stood by Tim during his difficult times, and his family is grateful.
Tim’s heart and soul lived in his art, His unique vision was shared to the world on
canvas and through it his love lives. We will miss your hugs, your laughter, and
sense of humor. We are privileged to have walked this journey with you. We
could never help you enough and still it was enough that you knew how deeply
your family and friends loved and walked alongside you. Thanks to his passion
for his art, we will all remember the color he brought to our lives. His worried and
anxious mind is now quiet. Rest easy now Tim.
Tim is survived by his mom, Susan Foley, who was his confidant, cheerleader
and best friend. He is also survived by his adoring family – Karry Comfort (Lance)
and their children Ezra and Jessica (with Braelyn and Jonah); Carl Foley
(Jennifer) and their sons Mason and Jack; Erin Foley (Jonathan Clegg) and their
sons Sawyer, Wyatt and Tucker and the countless friends in Brookline, Hollis
(and beyond), who supported and loved Tim.
Tim will be interned at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery in
Boscawen next to his father, Michael Foley. Tim also will be celebrated in 2025
at an upcoming art show. Details will be shared at a later date.
