Vincent James Signore Jr.

Vincent James Signore, Jr., 78, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Vincent was born in Newton, Massachusetts on April 7, 1945 and was the son of the late Vincent James Sr. and Alba (Rossi) Signore. He was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts.  He joined the United States Navy in 1962 and proudly served his country on the USS Mount McKinley during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in June of 1966.  He then pursued a profession as a licensed optician in Peobody, MA and eventually opened his own successful vision business.  Affectionately known as”Jimmy” in his younger years, and “Vince” in his adult years, Vincent had several passions. He loved cats, especially the 16 year-long run he had with his beloved “Babba Doo.”  Vincent loved the ocean, the beach, and being outdoors. He was also interested in weather patterns and storms, and he was excited to be an amateur meteorologist to friends and family.  Vincent is survived by his two children, Vincent James Signore III and his wife Amy of CT and Christopher Signore of Colorado; his sisters, Maurita Mitchell, Delores Signore and Ann Marie Hickey, as well as nieces and nephews.

Vincent will be put to rest with full military honors at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. At the request of Vincent’s family, all services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Vincent's name to  DAV – Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301,Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
