W. Grant Seamonds, 75, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Grant was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 11, 1945, and was the son of the late Weldon Lear Seamonds and Gainal Kinsmen (Tucker) Seamonds. He was a graduate of Northeastern University and received his Bachelors in Business.
He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged.
For many years, he worked as a human resource executive for various companies such as Bard, Mitre, and Future Electronics until his retirement.
In his free time, Grant was a car enthusiast; he loved his ruby red 1997 Toyota Celica convertible and taking long drives with the top down. Throughout his life he was an avid equestrian and especially had a love for his horse, Canta Libre. He also enjoyed traveling to places such as Ireland and Marco Island; but his most cherished time was spent with his loving family.
He is survived by his two children, David Seamonds and his wife Erin of Brookline, NH, Daniel Seamonds of Nashua, NH, his three grandchildren, Katelyn, Bennett, and Reid, as well as his sister, Lois Bennett of Sturbridge, MA. Along the way, Grant adopted children through love, Ryan Checchi and his wife Monica of Fitchburg, MA, as well as Stephanie Checchi of Methuen, MA.
Grant was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Paul Bennett and his loving friend Lorraine Smith.
Grant’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Visiting Nurses Association at Elliot Hospital, as well as Fresenius Kidney Care of Chelmsford for their care and compassion provided to Grant and his family in his time of need.
Relatives and friends are invited to Grant’s Celebration of Life on WEDNESDAY, June 30th from 10 AM until 11:30 AM in ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
